RABBIT MANAGEMENT SERVICES
360 Wildlife Control have been tackling the UK’s problematic rabbit populations since the 1980s. Our experienced and dedicated teams operate nationwide, delivering tailored rabbit control solutions across both urban and rural environments.
Whether the project requires basic control methods or high-security expertise, we have you covered. Our specialists are CSCS-certified and hold the necessary security clearances to operate on sensitive or restricted sites, including construction zones and critical infrastructure.
Our services are available year-round, though winter months often yield better results due to reduced vegetation and the removal of over-wintering breeding stock.
OUR CORE RABBIT CONTROL SERVICES INCLUDE:
- Ferreting
- Night Shooting (with Thermal Imaging)
- Fencing
- Trapping
We provide expert advice on rabbit management programmes ranging from one-off visits to annual contracts. All assignments include detailed reports with tailored recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the work.

FERRETING
A NATURAL, ETHICAL, AND EFFECTIVE APPROACH
Ferreting is a highly effective and environmentally responsible method of rabbit removal. Conducted by our professional team, this technique is species-selective — non-target animals such as polecats, stoats, and slow worms remain unharmed. This makes it an ideal solution for conservation projects.
PROFESSIONAL-GRADE FERRETING
Unlike recreational ferreting, our process is methodical and precise. All accessible rabbit holes are sealed with purse nets, bolt traps, or long nets to ensure no escape routes. Our trained ferrets wear electronic locator collars to guarantee full retrieval.
Ferrets are transported in spacious travel boxes with constant access to food and water. When not working, they live comfortably in large hutches and outdoor runs — a well-cared-for ferret is a reliable one.
We can operate under a strict no-dig policy for ecologically sensitive sites where ground disturbance is not permitted. Our adaptable approach ensures optimal results with minimal impact.
IDEAL FOR LARGE-SCALE AND SENSITIVE SITES
Our experienced team can cover extensive areas, efficiently clearing warrens. This is crucial before any habitat is altered, such as during road or building construction. Where rabbit populations may repopulate or where protected species are present, we can install rabbit-proof barriers that allow non-target species to escape safely.
Our ferreting services are regularly deployed across:
- Farms and equestrian estates
- Archaeological and conservation sites
- Private gardens and solar farms
- Construction projects and airfields
- Cemeteries, military bases, industrial parks
- Railway embankments and motorway verges
This cost-effective option is frequently chosen over gassing and is even more powerful when combined with our night shooting services.
GASSING (PHOSTOXIN)
A LAST RESORT WITH LEGAL RESTRICTIONS
Gassing is considered a last-resort method and is only used when other options are unsuitable. The fumigant Phostoxin requires strict adherence to UK legislation and is subject to numerous limitations - such as restrictions near buildings and watercourses.
To be effective, rabbits must be driven back into their warrens before the gas is administered. All entrances are sealed, and moisture in the ground activates the gas tablet.
Important: This method is indiscriminate and will kill all wildlife in the warren, making it unsuitable for use in areas where protected species may be present.
NIGHT SHOOTING WITH THERMAL VISION
COVERT, PRECISE, AND TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED
Rabbits, like many wild species, follow predictable routines and feel secure at night. Leveraging advanced thermal imaging and night vision, our covert night shooting service offers unparalleled accuracy and discretion.
This is one of our most effective methods for controlling rabbits and other species like rats and foxes, particularly on sensitive sites such as golf courses, urban areas, and archaeological locations.
On one notable archaeological site, over 140 rabbits were removed in a single night.
EXPERT EXECUTION AND SAFETY
Our specialists use subsonic segmenting rounds and premium silencers for quiet, precise operations. Every team member is:
- DBS checked
- Fully insured
- Certified in rifle use, thermal imaging, urban and night shooting, and emergency first aid (First Aid + F)
- Trained in site-specific health and safety protocols
All equipment is regularly maintained and safety-checked. Full CVs and certification lists are available upon request.
OPERATIONAL MODELS
We offer flexible deployment options, including:
- Lone marksmen with tracking systems and lone worker policies
- Mobile 4x4 teams with safe shooting platforms and certified night-vision navigation
- Mobile high seats that can be assembled and removed on-site without leaving a trace
- Risk assessments (RAMS) and operational briefings are agreed upon in advance for every project.
In high-risk or sensitive locations, operations are conducted with spotters using thermal imagers to maintain absolute control.
We are fully insured for airside operations and regularly work in:
- Urban areas
- Airports and runways
- Industrial and agricultural land
Spent cartridges are always recovered, and all rabbits are collected. A comprehensive report, complete with photographic evidence, is delivered the following day.
